During the last week , I was attending a class with Mr. Mathew about Lesson planning, this lesson was interesting for me, because I could reflect about how I usually plan my lessons' objectives.
I could notice that sometimes I do not focus on an outstanding objective, neither I set the time or how to asses my students. I learnt that I have to set a mensurable way to asses my Students to help me realize if they are learning or not, also with that I can change some activities or clarify some doubts and have my exercise.
Apart from that, I noticed that sometimes I get lose at the end of the unit because I do not set up an unit objective, however; If I do that, at the end of the unit will be easier to asses and realize If my students reach the achievements or not.
I really like this lesson, because I also had the opportunity to share with some of my classmates about some ideas of setting objectives, that was very productive because I can share some ideas about how set objectives but also I could take some ideas from my colleagues, and I consider that was the best part I could have from that lesson, because we all as teachers can mix some ideas that we take from others.
I can see that this is one thing that many of you need work with, and this is important that you are reflecting on this and realizing this, and not just the teacher trainers telling you. Setting clear measurable objectives will not only help you in all aspects of your lesson, but also in your students' learning.
